1. Introduction

As part of the integration of our business, we are working hard to align the Colt and Lumen EMEA product portfolio, to provide you with the best possible offering and streamlined service.

Colt offers a broad portfolio of premium Ethernet services. Our coverage includes over 32,000 on-net sites and further off-net coverage through an extensive partnership with over 200 third-party service providers (OLO) across EMEA, Asia and North America. Our range of Ethernet services allow you to connect your sites in a secure, cost-effective and simple way across metro, national, and international locations through our IQNet platform.

2. What does this mean for you?

Short term:

All Lumen EMEA Ethernet customers will be transferred to the Colt converged Ethernet service. This means:

All new Ethernet services will be delivered on the Colt IQNet infrastructure providing enhanced features

Existing Lumen EMEA Ethernet services (E-Services and Ethersphere) will continue to operate on the current network platforms and all modifications will be allowed

This means that until all your Lumen EMEA Ethernet services are on the Colt IQNet infrastructure, there will be a split experience with the IQNet features available in the Colt Online until all your services have migrated to IQNet

Longer term:

Renewals of existing E-Services (E-Line, E-Access & E-LAN), Ethersphere (EVPL & VPLS) and dedicated Cloud Connect services will be supported on the current platform

Renewals for hosted Cloud Connect services will require a new Colt DCA service to be built

Modifications to an existing E-Services (E-Line, E-Access and E-LAN), Ethersphere (EVPL and VPLS) and Cloud Connect will generally require a parallel build of the location on Colt IQNet, with a possible exception for soft modification

New services will continue to be delivered on the Colt IQNet infrastructure

We will work closely to ensure a smooth and seamless transition to the equivalent service on the Colt platform

Will the commercial model change?

The most significant change following migration of services to the Colt converged product is invoices. Only two line-items will appear for each service element.

Non-Recurring Charge (NRC) – this is a one off charge for the installation of a new service or for the provisioning of a modification to existing services

Monthly Recurring Charge (MRC) – this is the monthly recurring charge for the service element, for example Ethernet Line P2P or Ethernet VPN Access services

US Locations may be on a separate invoice to be able to present and calculate the tax

All usage services will be moved to a flat rate model

We will work closely to ensure a smooth and seamless transition to the equivalent service on the Colt platform
